Consider this:

A new proto Mini 650 (no forms for hull and deck)  takes about 1500-2000 hours  to build by professionals with all professional tools available.

For a self builder you may minimum ad another 500 hours due to lack of routine and professional tools, thus 2500 hrs.

Your possible schedules could be the following:

Alone:

40 hrs per month average (5 hrs Saturday and 5hrs Sunday), gives 62.5 months = 5.2 years.

80 hrs per month average (half time job or 10 hrs in the weekend and 2 hrs every evening), gives 31.2 months = 2.6 years.

160 hrs per month average (full time job, not possible on free time), gives 15.6 months = 1.3 years.

Two persons:

40 hrs per person per month average (5 hrs Saturday and 5hrs Sunday), gives 31.2 months = 2.6 years.

80 hrs per person per month average (half time job or 10 hrs in the weekend and 2 hrs every evening), gives 15.6 months = 1.3 years.

160 hrs per person per month average (full time job, not possible on free time), gives 7.8 months.

Three persons:

40 hrs per person per month average (5 hrs Saturday and 5 hrs Sunday), gives 20.8 months = 1.7 years.

80 hrs per person per month average (half time job or 10 hrs in the weekend and 2 hrs every evening), gives 10.4 months.

160 hrs per person per month average (full time job, not possible on free time), gives 5.2 months.

Four persons:

40 hrs per person per month average (5 hrs Saturday and 5hrs Sunday), gives 15.6 months = 1.3 years.

80 hrs per person per month average (half time job or 10 hrs in the weekend and 2 hrs every evening), gives 7.8 months.

160 hrs per person per month average (full time job, not possible on free time), gives 3.9 months.

 

So, the conclusion is that alone it is long, even if you work full time on the boat, but if you like building its not a problem. With more people it is of course faster.

The best solution for those who want the boat fast is to let a professional boatyard do the hull and deck , then you do the outfitting yourself.
